HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
''Where is Your heart? Do you take your heart with you or you leave it at places...?
Mine is at two very different parts of the world---being Hungarian--American and in the poignant process of rediscovering my country of origin after 23 years. Out of these visits were born the Found Object Reliefs--my new body of work presented in this exhibition along with some of the older o nes. They are made of actual relics from childhood, or parents' belongings brought back i n my suitcase from my recent travels in the old country.
Now my 2-dimensional images are becoming 3-dimensional-- as long lost and withheld expressions and realities come into present time once more--memories transforming and becoming actualities again.
With this synthesis of the Past and Present parallels the integration of Painting and Sculpture--the reliefs are not merely representations of things, but placing the original objects in the picture plane thus creating a genuine, whimsical and heartfelt tableau. These intimate and family oriented pieces make great Christmas presents at a very reasonable price --due to relocation of art studio to Europe. Come see and take it home!''
